There is no interface to learn. Put your pointer over any picture or clip and a small button shows up in the corner. Click it and the file is in your Downloads folder before you have moved the mouse away.

  Not the 240px version the page is showing you. The one that got uploaded, at the size it was uploaded at.

  Ten-slide post, one click. You get all ten, numbered in order, including the ones you have not swiped to yet.

  Every save lands in a local library you can search. Click any entry to reopen the post it came from, months later.

  Grabbit checks that library before it downloads, so you stop collecting three copies of the same thing.

  Nothing gets uploaded or queued somewhere else. Your browser can already see the page. Grabbit just asks it properly.

grabbing a lot, without getting yourself blocked

Scroll a profile, hit start, and Grabbit works through what has loaded. One file at a time, with a pause between each. If the site starts pushing back, it waits longer, and if it keeps pushing back, it stops and tells you instead of hammering away.

There is a ceiling on every run. That is deliberate. The tools that promise to vacuum up an entire account in one go are the ones that get your account throttled, and you are the one who pays for that, not the tool.

nothing leaves your browser

Most free downloaders are a funnel. You paste a link, their server fetches it, and now they have a list of everything you have ever saved. Grabbit has no server, so there is no list.

• No analytics and no telemetry
• Access to eight sites, not to every site you visit
• Every line of code ships in the package

read the privacy policy, which is short because there is not much to say.

what it will not do

Two things, said plainly, so you are not disappointed after installing.

• no youtube

  Their terms do not allow it, and extensions that try get pulled from the store. Better to ship something that stays up than promise something that vanishes.

• some video is streamed

  A few players never hand the browser a complete file. Where that happens Grabbit saves the cover frame and tells you that is what it did, rather than handing you a broken file.
